Is American Turf Monthly still in business? I clicked on current issue on their website and got MAY 2006..... What's going on?

I seem to recall that they've taken an occasional hiatus in the summer before (adjusting their publication dates accordingly so that they wouldn't miss a monthly issue), but the May edition on the website is a bit out of date even for that.

ATM doesn't have a listing on their website of outlets where ATM can be purchased. In my experience, the most likely locations are outlets (such as newsstands) that carry the Daily Racing Form, along with a variety of magazines, or else a magazine outlet that carries other equine-related titles. For example, the closest current sources where I live (McAlester, Oklahoma) are the only news dealer (to my knowledge) in Tulsa (90 miles away) that carries the hard-copy Racing Form, and also a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Tulsa that didn't carry ATM when I first got here in 2006, but started stocking it after I specifically asked about it. (Of course, there's always the subscription route also.)

I went the sub route - too inconsistent in the one store in this hemisphere that carries it.

Every Friday I used to get an email from ATM with their latest issue...included a "horses to follow" list from 2 tracks and an article from Ray Taulbot. Now it seems to come in jut whenever they feel. I thik the last time i got on e was in October. I was wondering if they might have gone out of business.

ATM has become too oriented to the system-mill crowd IMHO. Used to like the "Horse to Watch" department, but the magazine publishes so far in advance that the list loses a lot of its value.
