Does anyone know if the distances on turf at Indiana Downs are always at "about" distances when they are:

1. 7 1/2 furlongs
2. Run with the rails out
3. Run with rails at 36 or 48 feet, but not "about" when rails are 0, 12 or 24 feet (except for 7 1/2 furlongs)

Or does each rail setting have both an "exact" and an "about" distance possibility.

Thanks.

Cannot answer all of your questions, but if the race is run at an "about" distance it is marked in the DRF with an asterisk * ... Tracks that use about distances, usually will run them at any distance, that is they will put the rail in the best part of the track, and if the distance "changes" the asterisk appears. Nice subject but a tough track for me. Good cappin. BBB
