How about Jacksonville's frontcourt of Artis Gilmore, Pembrooke Burrows(sp.?) and Baskerville Holmes?

ABA: Wes Bialosuknia, Dave Netolicky and Jimmy Hadnot? Jimmy eventually got, as I recall.

Yale Larry.

If you liked Lary, you must have liked his teammate, Dick "Night Train" Lane.

I always liked Milton Plum and Gail Cogdill, both Lions, I do believe I think they were in an old Phil Foster stand-up routine.

Then there's the legendary Van Lingle Mungo.

I'm getting old. I actually remember a Phil Foster routine. Of course, the fact that I remember it is encouraging. ;) I also remember that Phil wasn't that funny.

You know, & I know, & the American people know that the above mentioned name was not, has not been, and will not be the name of any actual person known to mankind.

By the way, what was his nick?

As I live and breathe, that was his name. Don't recall a nick, but we were all mostly on a last-name basis.

I always like the old University of Texas running backs and receivers. They had Ham, Lam, and Jam. Johnny Ham Jones from Hamlin, TX, Johnny Lam Jones from Lampasas, TX, and AJ Jam Jones....Jam from his running style I think.

One of my former coworkers had a first name of Epluribus. Was about 10 years ago. Think his nickname was his initials (maybe E.C., maybe E.P. don't remember anymore), but his name tag and supervisor called him Epluribus.

Well if we bring Native American names in it - Sky's the limit.

"Sixkiller" played "The Mean Machine" in the '74 film The Longest Yard
