Picks for Santa Anita Sunday
R1 #1a Senator Matty-Faces a field full of plodders. The only contention for the lead will be from his stablemate it seems. Looks tough here at a very low price.
R2 #6 Rich Sense-New surroundings may wake him up. Won at this level in FLA, a decent trip here should make him a factor.
R3 #4 Star Parade-Returns to a track she loves. Clearly wasn’t comfortable in last forgettable grass effort. Should make amends here.
R4 #7 Silk Queen-Can step with the ML fav early. Has excuses for her last few races. Frankel does well in a lot of categories here.
R5 #4 Del Mar Cat-Ran very well in first try on grass. Returns to the sprint game and should be tough here.
R6 #12 Marvelous Marcia-Barn does very well with 2nd time out runners here. Must overcome the outside post though.
R7 #2 Beneath the Radar-Should get an honest pace to run at here. Fairly honest runner has run well routing.
R8 #4 Railroad-Koriner has been hot, and this one has been scorching in the AM for this. Sports a win over the surface.
R9 #5 Warrensgoldengirl-Battle wide and faded against MSW. Drops and gets the inside here. Should compete with this bunch.
