Often one finds a horse that looks very good, but everyone who can read has figured it out as well. Usually the modus operandi is to pass, but then if there are any signs that this one is the slightest bit vulnerable it behooves one to key it in exotics and get some return on an obvious choice.

considering it was an obvious choice as the only real speed in a short sprint, hooking it with other logicals paid a nice price for such an odds on pick. Happens enough to make this an option any time the top choice is below threshold to wager on.
