Hasn't had a work since july 9th. He was one of my favorite horses in the spring and I thought he would develop very nicely for the fall.

Anyone know if he was injured?

He's been out for the year since August. I don't think it's anything serious.

Yeah

Putz working this horse 6F (I believe) in that ridiculous time (hey, he needed to get him TIGHT for a 1 1/2 mile race)

just before the Belmont

after he'd had a full spring season

was not exactly the move of the year.

On a plus side, it did get him to run much closer to the pace early
(that was the objective, right, DAN, get some speed into him)

oh
and then
take back
and
try to (belatedly) follow Jazil

which amounts to TWO moves in a 1 1/2 race

Oh yeah

He'll be back next year, hanging and flattening out.... a lot to look forward to.

I always wanted to like him but never saw what others have seen in him

______________
How about bettering his position from 2nd call to the finish in EVERY RACE?

From the races in spring it seemed he could never time his move very well. He was always closing at the end but not soon enough. Looking at the earlier races maybe same thing..

Could never time his move very well cause he was never is a good position to win these races. In other words, HE IS NOT A HANGER.

Are you referring to Danny or the horse?

Of course there are better horses out there LR! But a $20k buy in 8 races brought in $360k, won the 2 races where favored, mostly ITM- that is what I call a meal ticket! A "meal ticket" does not HAVE to win!
What's his trifecta ROI? I see the odds he beats almosrt every race.
If all that counts is a win, look elsewhere- but my public 'capping stakes at Oaklawn was very good thanks to him and LR!!LOL!!

Speaking of MIAs from the TC trail, has anyone heard about Sweetnorthernsaint? He seemed to me to be a horse that should be pretty competitive up to about 1 1/8 m but the longer distances were just a bit too much for him. Was hoping to see him run again this fall to see if that opinion was true.

Loading up on hay @ LRL could be on track for a late Oct/ early Nov return to racing

If they put some blinkers on that fella I might take a stab on him.

I disagree in the SW, the Rebel and the AK dby, he is 2nd, 3rd and 2nd at the stretch. What better place to be vs. a tiring Lawyer Ron?

GO on then. HAVE ANOTHER DONUT FAT MAN!
