The Draft?

Heard some interesting comments on the radio tonight-how we might be running short of soldiers around the world and we might be forced to re-institute the draft. The host was all in favor of it, but I could never support that myself. That is a taboo with me, but how do we continue to fight terrrorism with limited manpower?

I have not heard of any shortage. About a month ago I heard that all of the armed forces had met their recruitment goals long before the year was over.
I don't understand why we have so many troops in so many places.
I think we are still in South Korea, protecting them from the North. From what I have read, South Korea has every advantage over the impoverished North. Why do we need to be there?
