Win XP Settings all Gone

OK, so I left my PC on during a big storm, probably had a power surge since the power went off here and I can down today to see all my settings gone: All my favorites in IE, the cookies that allow me to automatically sign onto this site, BRIS, etc., so I don't have to remember passwords.

Is there any way to restore them or am I totally screwed?

I don't use XP, but I think they have a good "restore" function that will take you back before your problem. & get a UPS that will shut you down when power fails & you're not there.

Where did you find the RESTORE on your WindowsXP?
I want to write it down, because one day I'll probably need it.
