I have heard this asked the other way around, but is there a program out there that can convert the BRIS SINGLE format to the MULTI file format?

I don't know of anyone who has done this. Nathan Misceroni of Equisim did a utility for Multi to Single, but no of no one who has produced a utility the other way.

I tried the mult to single of his and it wouldn't work for me. I tried to load with the Bris PP Generator and it caused an error.

If you check out the new 2007 Excel, you can load in the total Single file, and do with it what you want.

Will the new Access take that many columns as well?

Access is still limited to 255, I just tried it . It appears you can bring file into Excel and then cut it up into a million pieces, the two programs work well together.

Sayed tuned, I have been working on a php script that just might work!

I will release it for beta testing when it is ready. It will be called 'Kenverter'

Cross your fingers!

Ken:

I like the Bris PP Generator, but make my own trip notes and figs, could you make a program that replaces the bris or drf figs and notes?

Thanks

If you want to make your own program out of BRIS files using PHP & MySQL, I open sourced some of my code over a year ago.

This code will allow you to import BRIS files into a database structure that I designed. From there you can start building a handicapping program on top of that code.

You can download it:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/handicappingos

Of course if you want to a program that keeps track of trip notes a prints them back for you every time that horse is entered and many more neat features, I have a commercial program available for subscription through HDW that does that and some more.

Sounds good...let me know if you release it.

Both are released. The free code that will help you build a program, and the commercial product that you could subscribe to today.
