I'm guessing you add the two individual figures (6+6) to the main number.

he called 66 numbers rather number, which would be 6 and 6 rather than 66, but then he says "it", which seems contradictory to me. If forced to guess, assuming an attempted trick, I would guess you add 42 (6*6 +42 = 78).

I probably phrased the question awkwardly... the answer I was looking for was in simple feet and inches:

6' - 6" = 78 inches.
