Hi Max-
I received the e-mail from Bris and followed their link to the download page. When I ran the program to install ALL_Ways, the first message said that it was extracting allways.cab, then the next box said that it was installing HTR2. When I ran HTR2, it came up with ver: MARCH 8, 2004, a picture of an eye and underneath that it said "enter HTR-2001".
I sent an e-mail to Bris about it but have not heard back from them. DO you know anything about this? I don't think this is the right program!
Thanks!
Greg

Greg,
Try deleting the original download and try again. To my knowledge this HTR2 program does not have any affiliation with All-Ways.

Did you ever download a demo version of HTR?
Does the screen you get look like this one?

Hi Maxspa- Yes, I've downloaded the file multiple times both last night and today. I did have HTR2 installed but never did anything with it. I even uninstalled HTR2, securly deleted the directories (no data to save), cleaned out the registry of any references to HTR2 and re-booted my computer before trying the last time to install the program. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi Tom, yes I did download a demo version of HTR2 but really never did anything with it. As I replied to Maxspa, I uninstalled HTR2, securly deleted any remaing files/folders, cleaned the registry of any information that I could find, and re-booted. Still get the HTR2 screen.
Thanks!

Greg,
Contact HTR's Ken Massa and explain the situation to him. He is a class guy and I believe he will help you out. His website is www. homebased2.com.

Maxspa & Tom-
I had an "inspiration" this morning. I moved the downloaded ALL-Ways file from my download directory into it's own directory and then ran the program. It worked beautifully! It seems that running the *.exe file actually unzips some other files and one of them was probably called "setup.exe". I checked my download directory afterwards there were a number of setup.exe files. One of those was probably HTR2. Thanks for your help and suggestions. Now-to learn ALL-Ways.

Well, I gave ALLWAYS a try for the three free cards. I was surprised at the interface being so clunky (like late 80s?), but the thing did pretty well. Makes me want to really give it a try, but $14 a card?
I'm a cheap...........;)

Banacek,
I agree with that the file price is very costly. BRIS has a couple of other plans that will save you some money. One, for a thirty dollar monthly minimum, the files are $10.00 each. Two, if you sign up for a track subscription that they offer (BRIS selected tracks) the cost is around $5.80 per file. With the subcription plan you get the result files included.
When you are on an inevitable losing streak the bill at the end of the month can be an eye opener!

I've been poking around the inside of an ALWAYS file. Messy/sloppy is all I have to say.
With the Single File format files, the data has a high degree of integrity. The fields are consistently delimited and the number of tokens found on each line of input data is what the online documentation says each file should have.
The ALWAYS/PLUS 5/NEURAX PRO file is not at the same level.
But, hey, what do you want for free?
