What do you mean giving them a fat free ad. I been reading many of the post relating to all kinds of marketed software trying to find what others are using, what's good, what's bad. So I made a simple post about QH using their real name just as other's when talking about software do. Like I said I'm not affilated with QH or any other company for that matter. Like we have this guy talking all about about his new OS software coming out. I sure hope he his paying you for that if not you should get some?

I'm just not getting the meaning of this forum. Isn't it discuss software, handicapping ideas, suggestions, advice, maybe even giving free picks. Maybe cause I haven't been a long time member and didn't post before that posting about a program I'm been using for almost two years now was not a good post to start with. Sure maybe some members with check out the QH site while many won't. What I was more concerned with of others have been using it and have any configuring ideas they like to share.

Hey Gary - I was in TN a bit ago. It gets toasty in the summer!

Asked around, snooped around the net - Can't find how Tennessee got the name. Any idea?

According to Wikipedia:

The word Tennessee comes from the Cherokee town Tanasi, which along with its neighbor town Chota was one of the most important Cherokee towns and often referred to as the capital city of the Overhill Cherokee. The meaning of the word "tanasi" is lost (Mooney, 1900).

Hadn't realized that the Cherokee were that far south. I've done business with a few of the tribes in OK.
Speaking of OK with the advent of Indian Gaming they're really "OK"

This was their homeland....Pres. Jackson moved them out in the 1830s when gold was discovered in No. GA. It was known as the Trail of Tears. I am part Cherokee by the way.

That story is truly sad in contrast to the business in Nawlins lately...but I better not get started on that.

Especially since the casino in town has a racebook where I can buy a hard copy of the Form without driving to Muskogee or Tulsa.

Over - I see Choctaw has a sports book. In my directory it shows 60 seat capacity so it's a mini. 407 slots and a 300 seat bingo. How's the food in there?

My dealings have been with the Cherokee Nation - They're doing well.

Hey I thought I started a thread on handicapping and horse racing. Not on history lessons. Now I'm bored. Does the PA forum stand for PaceAdvantage or something else?

Also why on this forum it doesn't show To and From like other forums instead of posting to the entire forum so we know who is responding to who?

Especially since the casino in town has a racebook where I can buy a hard copy of the Form without driving to Muskogee or Tulsa. For a long time the Cherokee had casinos in other states but they were illegal in OK. Something about the status of the indian nations there. Glad to see them cashing in. The sad thing is, go to NE Okla into Cherokee Country and all you see are tribe run smoke shops and package stores. Come on guys, strap it up!

Just to clarify (as bigmack mentioned in passing), our local casino here in McAlester (in southeastern Oklahoma) is the Choctaw Casino.

I'm from Nawlins, so I'd really like to know what you meant by that. The Cherokee weren't put up in Houston hotels pending their relocation. These were law abiding indians who were doing what the white man wanted. They were working as farmers and merchants and being good citizens. Over half of them died walking to Oklahoma.

Over one thousand dead, thousands of homes destroyed ,thousands victimized by goverment neglect and incompentence is NOT a SAD story BECAUSE [some] evacuees were put up in Houston hotels. You should have simply said that you did not wish to reveal what you meant by you illadvised statement.

I just can't resist a thirty day free trial for software.

I downloaded their product and ran a few races at Saratoga Friday.
Not bad..I didn't play the selections...Big mistake on my part, it hit some nice Exatas.
I will continue to download and test until Sept 30... that is when the free trial expires.
