Does anyone know what happened in race 3 at Del Mar yesterday? The big favorite, a Mullins horse, ran out of the money.

He led most of the way and then faded. Was he coming off a layoff?

Also, it looks like there might have been a post time delay. Anyone know if that was the case?

Post time delay was caused by a vet scratch at the gate of the 9 horse.

The 1 was 3rd start back off 2 yr layoff and his last race ( 30 days back) was extremely taxing as he fought for the lead the ENTIRE race
Splits - 22.0 - 44.3 - 56.4 - 109.2

Yesterday's race was the 1st time going for Mullins

along with the above info. i liked this race, but i caught the local guys discription before the race, "first time f".


and i can say, now, that he looks hurt and Mullins thinks so.
