Says Bernardini is 1 for 1 at the mile and a quarter. He never ran the distance. Just pointing the error out. Am I missing something?

I think they lump 9.5 and 10.0 furlongs together.
He won at 9.5 in the preakness.

Yes they consider the preakness a 1 1/4 race even though its a 16th short.

Thats ridiculous. Two different distances. Doesn't matter though. It's not an issue.

They don't consider the Preakness a 1 1/4. It is as Tom said, they group the distances. Barbaro in the Preakness would have shown he was 1 for 1 at the distance based on his Kentucky Derby win. Occasionally a chart is published that lists the groupings, and it is probably in the Formulator manual or online if one cares to search.

I think sometimes they like to round off the 1/2f's when they do that.
