Horse names

Can a quarter horse have the same name as a thoroughbred? I know it happens in harness. There is a horse running at Sam Houston on Friday named Super Sized in a 2yo 400 yard trial (I assume quarter horses). I have a 3yo thoroughbred from Hastings on my watch list by the same name.
