A few interesting horses on this card:
Best Value: 3rd Race, #1 ESTEEMED GUEST -- 7/2 ML; not a longshot, but I have her on top in both class and speed. The trainers OK too.
Other interesting horses to watch:
7th race, #10 ALMOST GOLDEN -- 15/1 ML. First-off claim for trainer Michael L Reavis. Reavis used to be good first off claim, but has gone 0-14 since his last first off claim win on 5/10. The dirt-to-turf switch makes this horse interesting; although, he's only 1 for 9 with his claims under similiar circumstances.
9th race, #2 SHADEY MIKE -- 8/1 ML. This horse runs much better on the dirt, which makes you wonder why he's switching back to the turf. Although Poulos is very good moving horses from turf-to-dirt, he's been less than successful the other way around. Maybe this race is just a freshner for another turf-to-dirt move latter?
