Enticing, a 2YO filly owned by the same connections as Barbaro and Showing Up, will face not only older horses but older males in a Grade 1 at York on Thursday. Never seen that done in North America. Its a 5 furlong race so stamina won't be an issue. Her weight break? From 24-27 pounds....IF the rider can make the weight.

I thought every race in north america for older horses was for 3 and up.

Only race I have seen for 2yo and up was the Rocket Man Stakes at Crc in the past. Don't know if those were the conditions this year.

A 2-Y-O filly called Lyric Fantasy won the same race - The Nunthorpe- Enticing goes for tomorrow in the 90s.

France's 5f Prix De L'Abbaye -run on "Arc" day- is also open to juveniles, obviously with the same weight concessions.

The Rocket Man has been 2 and up for at least the last 3 years, though I believe I heard no 2 year old has ever entered

Many years ago, a 2-y-o beat older in a Eurosprint. Rainbow Connection?? Or was it a name with "Fantasy" in it? It happened, anyway. :)

Listened to this one via William Hill. The fiily attended the pace until the serious running ensued. Back with her own kind next time, I believe.
