Got it free when I re-upped my sub to Crammer newsletter.Gives a capsule look at many NY trainers in terms of which NY track they prefer, distance, surface, weather, age/sex,class, pace, form, jockey, odss/rank.
No actual data given, like number of starts-number of wins, roi, etc, paper bound.

is it useful in your opinion, Tom?

If I see Cramer called crammer one more time; well, I can't be responsible. I have lawyers that can get me off. I was abused by all the little girls in the neighborhood as a child.

I suppose it will have some marginal usefullness, like when I come across a trainer doing something new with a horse.
I probably won't use it too much, but it was free.......
Usually, I find that when I use a negative trainer stat, the horse always wins and when I use a positive one, it is always 3-5.
If I played a lot os exotic, it might be useful to find some overlooked horses to fill out the bottom slots on my tickets, but I don't do enough beyond exactas to make it worthwhile.

Might be the funniest thing I've heard in quite awhile. Thanks.

While we're at it, can we also start to spell the word "lose" with just one "o" instead of two, like it is in the dictionary?

So you don't want to be too loose with the spelling of "lose", is that it? :)

Exactly -- because "loose" is a different word altogether with a different meaning.

"Crammer" doesn't bother me that much -- I just figured that was the porn version of his name...

I've got the California book. The thing I like about it is the way that they give you a description of how the trainer operates and what kind of tricks they might try.

As Tom said, this kind of stuff is good for researching long shots or when you're looking for a tiebreaker between what look like two identical horses. All depends on your style, I guess.
