For the life of me I can't figure out why they would picture those two holding hands around a phallic symbol while Fidel gazes lovingly at Hugo. The truth is usually better than fiction, and this picture should provide a lot of material.

It looks like a candle to me, but I don't know what the purpose of that would be, unless it's somehow related to restoring Castro to health (in the sense of "lighting a candle" for him)(but I thought that was a Catholic concept). (But then again, Fidel did let John Paul II come to Cuba, didn't he?)(Maybe he's finding religion in his old age.)

He sure looks good after that operation! 20 years younger, trimmed and dyed hair and beard! Are we sure that is Castro and the red striped "PJ's" is not the uniform some look-alike prisoner was wearing? I can't wait for a televised speech!
