Besides the $$, any other good reason this race has so many entries?

So the 3YO's have an alternative to facing Bernardini and Bluegrass Cat in the Travers. They still go a solid distance, it's against their own age group, and it acts as a prep for the Super Derby in some cases.

easy to ship from ky,ark,la, etc

good race to get ready for the big ones

good money

lawyer who gave $ for race knows many in racing buisness, and has connections and is friends to many who entered.

Why not run at fp for 250K to me, its assanine if you run at a big track for 100K, while passing up an opp to run against a good field of 3yo's for more money.i'm not a circle jerk for the big tracks, been to them, who gives a fluck. It's a track, not lincoln monument.

You can make the case that its better than the Arkansas Derby, with Lawyer Ron and Steppenwolfer again meeting and toss in Iowa Derby winner More than Regal, Peter Pan runnerup Lewis Michael and Flashy Bull, who's been on the board in several big races.

#2 and #10 have scratched, no suprise, they were both overmatched.

race on tvg at 10:40ish(central)

the circle s race is on tvg also at 9:40(cenbtral)

kinda disappointed in the trainers for not filling all the races with 9-10 horses. The owner of fp has been raising purses on $ that might never come from the casinos, and the least they could do, is fill the races to the tee on their big night.

Easy ship, you ever drive from Chicago to Fairmont Park, easy my ass!

I loved a horse there, before simulcasting, it was a loooooooong ride, lucky for me he won, so the ride home wasn't so bad. Oh to be young and stupid again!

Too bad this race goes after my bedtime tonight!
