Million Day(rail on turf)

Did anyone ever hear how far the rail was out? when we got there at 10am, i noticed the rail out immediately, and joked to my buddy,"with the rail that far out, Tin man might be the nuts". I didn't notice the rail out friday while there, and wondered how far it was out saturday day? Never heard an announcement fro Dooley to the fact about the rail.

Arlington used to have two turf courses, an inner and outer. The Million was always run on the outer course. Now they just have one big course and use a movable rail, so lane 5 is the equivalent of where the outer course used to be.
