If I deceide to bet the race, I will not bet against EC. Either win bet or exotic using same somewhere.

I likely will try to beat English Channel. He's been the beneficiary of numerous good trips and he was beaten at even money in his only run over the course. Phoenix Reach has been off for over a year but he's definitely good enough and he's shipped well before, winning the Canadian International in 2003 and the Gr 1 Hong Kong Vase in 2004 and Grade 1 Dubai Sheema Classic in 2005, beating Powerscourt. Cacique is also capable of beating EC as is Soldier Hollow.

I am going to Arlington for the Million. This will only be my second visit to any track for live racing, made last years Million as well. Just gets a little hard to get to the track when the closest track to you is a 3 and a half hour drive there, thank god for the internet and my local casino's simulacast room.

Who is going to pick up Kieren Fallons mounts now? He was scheuduled to ride Ace in the Million and Ivan Denisovich in the Secretariat.

What about the Pletcher entries in the Million, English Channel and Go Deputy, they both have John Valezquez for the listed jockey. When I was filling out my Arlington Million fantasy stable it said Go Deputy might bolt in favor of the Sword Dancer.

I was liking Ace for the Million, but now with a jockey change from Fallon to whoever makes me think twice on him. Even though this horse has faced planty of solid competition in the past.

I was leaning now towards Soldier Hollow or Touch of Land in the Million. I also think Better Talk Now might get the type of race he needs. I think Soldier Hollow is poised to reach the winners cirlce for the first time this year.I still think Ace will be a serious contender regardless of the rider.

Then again it is Arlington and I never have done well there ever,so dont count on my selections. Dont know why that is, but I just cant play the track with any success. Like last years Million day the only wager I hit that day was the $2 my NTRA mystery mutuel giveaway ticket paid. No big deal though because it was my first live race I attended ever, it was a good day of races, got to see 3 G1 races in one day and my first time, and got away from the wife and kids for the day..lol.

I am looking forward to going to the races at Arlington on Sat. I have decided Million day is going to be my for sure guaranteed visit to a track each year for me.

Maybe a little luck will be on my side and the mystery mutuel ticket will pay better than $2 this time as well.

if you see a gentleman in a Pujols #5 jersey being escorted off, as he's piss drunk and mumbling, it could be me, and the prognossis is bad day.

no seriously, i will be hitting the casinos friday and sunday, with arlington and maywood park the other days.

tough races, the secratariat looks plum for an upset.
