not even this one's mother would bet this one. A true HERD animal this one (Thawed) finished yet 2nd again today at 1/2 at Ellis Park. look at all the thirds. This one reminds me of Jaques Who.

What about that maiden that ran at Del Mar a couple weeks ago... King Palm... he's now been 2nd 8 times in a row (and the race before that, he was 3rd by a head). Four times he's gone off at odds-on, and two other times, under 2-1. They've also tried 5 different jockeys in these 9 races, and no one's been able to get him to the wire first yet.

Some Jockeys have the same proclivity, I remember Joe Bravo would come in 2nd if he was riding the favorite in a turf route two winters ago at Gulfstream.

Make it 9! He burns 'em again at even money. Back-wheel returned 3x the outlay

& Trevor leans into the call with "remarkably King Palm finishes 2nd yet again"

But at this point, is it really "remarkable" anymore? I think it crossed over into "reliable" two or three races ago :D

Someone bet down to $2.10 to show 2 back and maybe made a pile of money!
