Isn't it time to go back to the woodshed?

You are getting killed lately....those few days where you did really well have been obliterated....and if you include the Ultimate Selector! debacle, you guys are severely in the red....

Am I picking on you? Perhaps, but with good reason. You use up a lot of "real estate" on here, and I would expect you to be doing better....

I'm starting to get the same feeling I got with UltimateSelector! By the way, where did he go?

Would agree with Pace plus the fact that 70% are post time favorites. Throwing darts may get better results

I agree Mike and Exactorman, I have not had very good overall posts as of late but I'm still doing ok personally with some major wagers on some plays at the big tracks with the large handles. I have had some great days when I have not posted as well, I know this doesn't or has not helped anybody on here as of late (and that I feel horrible about that) but I do stick and standby my method. I will tell you this, if my next 7 days of posts are not doing any better I will not post my selections any more. I do agree there are as of late alot of chalk plays posted but it seems there is alot of chalks winning lately too, but I go with what my method gives me too. I will however on my future posts will go for decent prices and leave out the chalky plays regardless if they are my plays. I want to be profitable for everyone that looks in on the selections and have confidence in what I post, but I know as of late I've lost some of that, but I will restore it in my next 7 posts ok. I don't like posting recaps to an ass whipping but I'd rather post recaps to profit taking instead.

Btw Ultimate has taken a corporate job back in an industry he was in before and couldn't refuse the offer so he'll be out of play for awhile until he gets things running smoothly with his position that will allow him some free to time to play again, which will be in a few months or so.

I will certainly give you credit for trying to provide some worthwhile individual winning selections, but the true followers of the tote do not look for winners per se. They look for winning plays! That simply means we're looking for Value, primarily in the exotics.

I'm not sure how you're attempting to analyze the tote board activities, the money flow, and the betting patterns, but unfortunately from what I've seen its a far cry from getting true Valued results. I'm also not sure why PA would expect you to be getting better results based on just using up a lot of real estate on the PA forum, there's much more to it then that.

Perhaps when I get back from my vacation I'll post some “live” selections also. In the meantime, stick with it, you've certainly set your sight on the right goals. Maybe you're direction is just a bit skewed!

Best of luck.

Expecting long-term results to be replicated in the short-term is almost guaranteed to lose. There are ups and downs in racing. I don't think a week or so of losses "proves" his method is not profitable, any more than a week or so of wins proves it is. This is not so much a defense of Anderon as a comment on the tendency of racing fans to attach too much importance to short-term results.

One thing that may not be obvious to those following Anderon's threads is that he seems to have an uncanny knack for knowing when to lay in to heavy bets. He was doing great until he started posting just the selections, without the amounts. Whether the bet variations are computer-generated, intuitive, or just based on experience is not clear. What IS clear is that he seems able to make the major plays at just the right time. That ability is what separates a lot of very successful bettors from the average bettors and losing bettors.

Huh? I think my meaning was pretty clear. But allow me to state it another way:

If you're going to scream loudly from the mountain top, you best have something good to say.

The amount of tracks, and the amount of plays, and the amount of time he has been posting has been substantial.

Hell, our entire LIFETIME is the SHORT TERM if you really want to get philosophical about things.

When you put it that way, I would have to agree.

IT IS an "uncanny knack" that takes a good deal of wagering confidence. I view your threads looking for the big spot plays you sometimes post, Anderon.

PA's request for results from a high bandwidth user doesn't seem unreasonable though. As a system operator I can see a valid point to it. I do like that there is so much attention given to public selections here! A great forum for comparing and improving our presentations and results.

Many thanks go out to PA from thorostats! I hope we can keep the selections forum here so interesting and lively. It's been fun for me.

I have an above-average interest in decision-making processes, especially the ones often (erroneously) labeled, "intuitive." Blink offers several good examples of situations in which the person involved believed they were using "intuitive" processes, most of which could be categorized as a combination of good sense and experience.

Uncanny? I don't think I've ever seen a suicidal progressive wagering method described that way before...
