Murph, I'm not sure what you mean, so let me know if this answers your question.
It's not necessary for my selection to overcome the track take-out for the selection to win the bet.
My selection only has to beat the match-up horse at a rate that over comes the match-up vig, which is about 2 1/2 to 3%.
I dont try to win the race, just finish ahead of the match up horse.
