RACE 4
7. FIDDLERS CAT ran 7th last out but was only beaten by three lengths and the first two runners from that heat came right back to win. Has three wins in 8 turf starts and a win and a third in three races over the Saratoga lawn.
9. SILVER TIMBER stumbled in his last going 6 furlongs on the grass and still was able to win going away. Should only get better with his first grass start under his belt and making his second start after a layoff.
1. WAVE THE BATON is 3-6 on grass and should have enough early speed to stay close right from the beginning. Has been running longer so should have plenty of fitness for the stretch run.

RACE 5
5. FIRST DEGREE Lukas runner was second in debut and now DW adds the Lasix, normally a sign he is looking for the win. Bob and Beverly Lewis paid a cool $1 million for this one.
3. CITY SNITCH adds Lasix and removes the blinkers for second career start after running fourth in debut as the betting favorite. Was 6, 7 wide in debut.
9. CONSECRATION will more than likely go as the favorite after his second-place finish in debut and the gaudy 85 Beyer. Trainer Shug McGaughey only hits with 4 percent of his second time runners.

RACE 6
8. POLITICAL FORCE has been away since last fall but shows at least a pair of bullets for return for Allen Jerkens who wins with 24 percent of his runners coming back after a long layoff. With enough early speed signed on for this one it could aid its late run.
10. SPRING AT LAST broke maiden at first asking impressively despite being bumped at the start. Pletcher wins with 34 percent of his runners making their second career start.
2B. SOUTH OF BROAD ships East for Frankel after earning a 92 Beyer breaking his maiden at first asking at Hollywood. Was actually passed in the lane of that race but came back to win.

RACE 7
7. VICARAGE has been an inconsistent runner throughout his career but has, on occasion, shown the ability to jump up and run huge. Pletcher sent him long on the grass last out to leg him up for this and that moves works 24 percent of the time for Pletcher.
2. I’M THE TIGER has run three-consecutive triple-digit Beyers but has been away since last November when winning a Grade I at Laurel by more than three. Frankel wins 21 percent of the time with his horses coming back from a long layoff.
9. CITY OF WEEKEND is a dead closer who could benefit if they all battle early on.
PICK 4: 2,7/2,3,8/7,8/2,5,7,9

RACE 8
8. JUDY SOAD makes her second start after a layoff for trainer Tom Bush (27 percent) after running an even fourth in a small stake last out. She has a win from two starts at Saratoga.
3. SWEET SWEET has four wins in 8 lifetime starts for trainer Michael Hushion but has just one win in five starts this year.
2. PAIGE NICOLE has three wins in eight lifetime starts, all this year, and just ran a good second in open claiming company.

RACE 9
8. DESIRE TO EXCEL is 2-2 lifetime including a 5-length romp in the Astoria at Belmont last out. Trainer Kelly Breen hits with 38 percent of the 2-year-olds and this one is nicely drawn to the outside.
7. COTTON BLOSSOM won debut at Monmouth for Pletcher who goes to his main man J.R. for this one.
1A. BARONESS THATCHER was a beaten favorite against maiden special weight company in debut at Churchill after racing 5-wide and closing for second. The 2-year-old daughter of Johanesburg could make her presence felt through the lane if the pace is hot early on.

RACE 10
7. TEMPT FORTUNE makes second start for Pletcher after losing by a neck going 6 furlongs on the grass at Belmont. Pletcher 34 percent second start,
2. EXTON makes his seventh start as a maiden for Bill Mott but has come to life a bit in his two races this year.
9. MACH THREE is sent out by the turf guru Christophe Clement after running third in debut at Belomont going 6 furlongs. Added distance will only help
