You provide a valuable service to the Thoroughbred world of racing. I know what a "labor of love and money" it takes to keep this site and it's community of handicappers thriving, year after year. Congratulations for a job well done. I wish you continued success.

Congrats on getting this far PA - even if Tom is rushing you into "old age" :D

First year of a dog's life =16 years.

Second = 8

Third = 6

After that = 4

a 20 year-old dog = 98 in our years ( 16 + 8 + 6 + [17x4] ) = 98

20x7= 140 ... who the hell would want to live that long? :D

PA,

We've been talking about horses in cyberspace for a long time. If you go back to the Prodigy days, a really long time. Anyway, a big congrats on 7 years with this site. Enjoyed looking at the wayback machine. Looking forward to the next 7 years.

Yes, we sure have. Prodigy, CompuServe, AOL, GEnie.....remember GEnie?? That was a blast. I remember arguing with someone for days on GEnie about the merits of Holy Bull.....

The Pythagoreans considered the figure seven as the image and model of divine order and harmony in nature.

If they could scroll through the off-top threads they'd probably abandon that theorem.

Thanks, PA, for letting a regular guy with a day job feel at home talking horses. This board is so professional it puts the piloting boards I frequent to shame. Slap yourself on the back for me and I owe you a cold one. Keep on keepin' on!

Congrats PA to a successful run in cyberspace. Don't have the time since I had to get a real job (effin filters block out all the good stuff), but still stroll thru here regularly. In your honor, I'm betting the 7 horse in every race today.

Hey Boris,
How ya been?

Don't want to hijack the thread, but don't want to be rude. Doing excellent Tom. Happy as a puppy with two peters. Get to play a little here and there, but NO horsey stuff get through the filters at work. Really sucks. When you get rusty, it's an expensive hobby. Hope all is well with the board pioneers. Fond memories of when this placed came together, and enjoyed the "way back machine" PA.

Congratulations Mike!!! 7 years... WOW!

Seen 5 of those years myself and to tell the truth I still feel like the new kid on the block sometimes. I remember lurking for a while before making my first post... and when I hit that submit button for the very first time I remember hoping and praying that regulars here like Tom, Que, Fortune Hunter, Game Theory, Larry Hamilton, CJ, and Suff... I remember hoping they wouldn't try to rip the new guy (me) to shreds right away... because I REALLY liked the fact that I'd finally found an intelligent board where I could bounce ideas off of others.

The way I found out about PA is kind of funny. I was in line at Ceasar's Palace in Vegas waiting to cash a $10.00 win bet on a race at BEL. There were two guys in line behind me. When it became my turn to go to the window the race wasn't official yet. So I told these guys behind me to go ahead of me because I was waiting for prices on the race from NY. They told me they were waiting for the same race. One of them showed me his ticket. He had the same horse but for a lot more than 10 bucks. I knew how I had the horse so I asked him what he liked about the horse. His answer caught me by surprise. He said there was this guy who had posted the horse as a selection at Paceadvantage.com. "Pace WHO dot com?" I asked. He was kind enough to spell it out for me. I have no idea who he was but if not for that chance encounter it might have taken a WHOLE LOT longer for me to discover this fantastic site.

Congrats Mike... Happy Birthday and continued success.
