DUBAI ESCAPADE: Has not been beaten in the United States in four starts and has only been beaten once in six lifetime starts. The daughter of Awesome Again is well drawn to the outside in this compact field and should be able to dictate the pace right from the start. Not much value in this one but she appears to tower over this group.
EBONY BREEZE: Appears to be the one best suited to benefit if a speed duel develops from the beginning. She has shown the ability to close some and looks like the only one interested in taking back and trying to make one late run.
Del Mar opening day Wednesday, we have you covered for all 43 racing days.

The only value I saw was betting #1 thru #4 as longshots. But I did not spend much time 'capping!

Did you box it or play it straight? :D
A show plunger took it on the chin with Dubai Escapade. About 250,000 down the drain led to great show prices on the others.
Perhaps Calder should be named Graveyard of Favorites. Next race, Lost in the Fog does not hit the board.
But the show pool was more reasonable. :D

Calder is a challenging surface; some love it, some can't handle it.
R10, Dubai Escapade shows NO races/workouts over Calder. That's a
negative. I bet $10 Win on #2. Yet #1 also showed great form at Calder. R11, I bet $10 Win on #5 with a 5-6 EX. Both proven at Calder. LITF always
has trouble with classy speedballs and he's not the A+ warrior of past.
