Our 19 month old son absolutely loves going to the park and playing on the swingsets. This is all well and good, except that by the time dad gets home, it's usually getting dark.

I am looking into a nice wooden swing set (one with at least 2 swings, a slide, maybe a sand box), but have noticed some crazy prices (from $1400 - 5K)..

Anyone have any luck finding a reasonably priced wooden swingset?

everyone I've ever known who has put up one of these has regretted it

Kids will use it for a little while and it'll sit idle for years afterwards

I was debating between that and a pool.

If you go the pool route use EXTREME safeguards man.

Almost had a real tragedy up the block a few years back when a " little one" got out of his parent's view for a minute and found the pool. Thank God it turned out well.

Extreme safeguards Scott. Best to Garrett.

You sound like me.. I didn't want him to go on the cars at the carnival on Friday night because I thought it went a little fast.

I might just buy him a roll of bubblewrap.

You make sure a fence surrounds the the entire pool with the lock to the pool at 4-5 feet high so that only a teenager or adult could get at the lock.

I vote for the pool!
