Picks for Belmont Sunday:
R1 #11 Pretty Proud-Should move up on the off going. Hough is a solid 5/10 over the last year with a sloppy/muddy surface in NY.
R2 #3 Plunder and Pillage-I have some knocks against the two ML favs. Sire of this one is decent with off track runners.
R3 #5 Bernie White Shoes-Jerkens is another trainer that excels with the off going, with a solid 36% in slop/mud, and a very impressive 4/8 on BEL muddy surfaces.
R4 #3 Zippity-Gets a barn upgrade and moves up in class. Laboccetta usually runs them where they belong so maybe he worked some magic on this one. Longshot play here.
R5 #2 Judith Basin-Off going and added distance will probably move her up here.
R6 #13 Seeking the Money-Gets a favorable pace situation and has won on the off going in the past. Should be tough here.
R7 pass
R8 pass
R9 #4 Son Of Gold-Pressed a solid pace in debut in the slop. Will be a pace factor here for sure. Looking for better today.
