Can't get the screensaver/monitor power turn-off function to work anymore.
I right click (Display Properties), go to screensaver, set it, but it doesn't come on anymore.
Upon researching this problem, there is the idea that maybe something is running in the background that makes the PC think that it is still being used ?
One exception: When I set the screensaver to start at 1 min. - it will work.
Anything over 1 min. - it will not.
But even when set at 1 min., the monitor settings , (which are on the same "box" as the screensaver settings), do not turn off the monitor (after the screensaver comes on), no matter what it is set at.
Any suggestions ? XP-Home
