Every few months I go to the local DRF store where I can buy the print edition at the lower "on-track" price of $3.50. I went today and had to pay the new on-track price of $4.50.

How can almost a third increase in price go without comment?

... "we are the DRF and we can do whatever we damn well please.. without consequence."

Buy alternative products.. that is the best way to 'protest' and/or argue for changes.

Here's the thing that galls me to no end...made an unscheduled visit to the simulcast wishing to play Calder, Churchill, and Belmont.

Well, you have to buy TWO (2) racing forms to get those three tracks. At $5.50 a pop.

I have not used a DRF in a long time! $1 from Bris and my PC tablet, and I'm playing ALL DAY!!!

where do you live -- 1955?

I've been paying 5 bucks for I can't remember how long.

and that guy about the 2 forms nailed it.
I understand the need to split the tracks up, but could we put the beulahs and thistledowns in one edition and put some of the more major circuits in another.
I realize they're trying to make money, but give me a break.
although, if I don't d/l the pp's I guess I only have myself to blame......

I'm with SF on this one about Brisnet. But if you don't buy DRF and then buy Bris or Trackmaster, it really doesn't matter right? It's own by Equibase right? Does Equibase get a month fee from you or percent of your sales if you had your own on-line handicapping land?

Hey Dave-

In 1955, the DRF was fifty cents.

Lower price DRF is available at many racebooks and lower price PPs of all kinds are around. I was just jolted at $3.50 to $4.50

Oh, well.

$ 5.00 a pop at my local OTB and then all the tracks aren't even

covered. It seems every day different tracks are in the edition sold there.

Also, it just galls me when you buy a form and then the post postitions aren't

included. So you must carefully watch the monitors to match up the horses

and the numbers. For $ 5 thats a disgrace

At the local gas station they charge me $7. When i pointed this out to the store manager that the price quoted on the inside cover was $4.5 he stated "well son if you want that price you gotta go out to the track". the track is 30 mins away. F'in price gougers.

I forgot about Starbucks...

$22.50 to $25.00 a carton for smokes at the local indians wigwam. They have their trailers set up all over the place around their reservations with continues lines, between the smoke shops and casinos the Indians and the Spanish speakers who are taking over our Congress and Senate they will soon inherit what they rightfully believe belongs to them.

Why would DRF offer that?
