It looked inevitable, but now it's official. That franchise is in deep doo-doo -- big payroll and not a team player among them.

That's the best thing he could hope for. What an absolutely hideous team to be involved with. Good job Zeke, you're a hell of a GM.

even when Thomas was gm with the Raptors, I could not stand him,he was a disaster, now look what he has done with the knicks, and with the payroll they have,it will be a long time to sort out.

"The Knicks put Brown out of his coaching misery Thursday, ending weeks of uncertainty by firing the Hall of Fame coach with four years and a reported $40 million left on his contract."

No word on how much this buyout cost the Knicks?
Larry Brown should take the money go away and retire.Quite the businessman.
Thomas should just go away period. :D

In the Free Press today, Brown's agent is working to get all of the $40 million left on his contract with the Knicks while at the same time hawking his clients 'talents' to the Bobcats (Jordan contact there). It might be feasible that Brown picks up three paychecks at once if he signs quickly with the 'Cats. $7 million buyout from the Pistons paid this year (agent plugged Brown's need to leave on being near death!), $10 million salary from Knicks (for 23 wins) plus whatever the Knicks buyout is up to $40 million!, then a new paycheck from Charlotte. Beauty of the NBA is Brown will find another home where he gets the 'love' he needs and gets his team to play the 'right way' for big bucks.

Thomas gets what he deserves, has left a lot of places in ruins including bankrupting the old CBA. Thankfully the Pistons Davidson never brought him in, going with the excellent Dumars instead.
