I don't have a good sense for how much it takes to move the lines as much as that. I can see how much it moves when *I* bet, but I can't tell how much a $500 bet would move the line. I do know that it's not linear, so I can't just extrapolate the size of the moves my bets cause. Also, we know that a $500 bet won't swing the line more than 16 points, otherwise you'd make a $500 bet one way, then make a $500 bet the other way and be guaranteed a profit.

My First Big Kiss has been scratched by the vet. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that all the money getting loaded up on Made in CA was from people who KNEW that MFBK was a lame gimp that didn't have a chance. This smells really, really bad.

Congrats. That play didn't fall into my model, but anyone who was willing to lay -237 on a horse dropping 50% off a claim deserved their fate.

It's the best odds offering I have ever seen in racing.
2 1/2% to 3% vig..much easier to get lucky than betting into a 15% to 25% track take-out.

But I do this for medical reasons only..I don't bleed as much anymore ;)
