Wow, I was having great luck at this track yesterday.

What is the deal with the Chalk ALWAYS winning at upstate NY tracks.

Buffalo, Tioga, Saratoga, seems like 1/5 horses everywhere

Glad you had a winning day at Tioga harness does get more chalk winners than the t-breds esp at the smaller sized ovals with the post position bias. However yesterday at Tioga was not bad.

Winning payoffs for yesterday.

R2 $9.40
R3 $16.60
R4 $5.80
R5 $3.90
R6 $19.40
R7 $5.80
R8 $9,20
R9 $4.30
R10 $18.60
R11 $4.60
R12 $4.40

Best source for all "our" local news on the opening.

I think the best shot you have at a good number of double digit winners is right now, while horses are shipping in from all over.

Glad to see your off to a good start with some harness races Douglas. Are you able to bet Tioga off-track?? My local betting outlet carries it hope you are not having any more problems in betting Tioga. You might try and check out the racing from The Meadowlands or Woodbine as the big track harness is where the best horses in the business race. Of course if you are winning at Tioga forget about anyplace else. :jump: :jump:

Worth the trip I just hope the crowds die down (well not really...seems to be alot of silly money being bet by the prices...mine included)

much of thoroughbred capping transfers well, been getting pp's from trackmaster ?

I may venture into some big tracks, they have a simulcast room...and as for off track, not at any of our local otb's so I figure bribet blacks them out from wagering by my zip code...they black out fingerlakes.

At USTrotting.com there is a lot of stuff for a person new to harness racing to look at. They do a pretty good job. Also at that site Bob Pandolfo has some good articles on capping. Plus he does a work up of the Meadowlands races on a nightly basis. For online harness pp's trackmaster is the place. Also and this is VERY important if you should meet up with Tom at Tioga Downs make sure you bring some banana's with you. :D

Looks like they got Harness Racing's Dean of Comedy, Larry Lederman to call there, LOL.
