With two-thirds of the Triple Crown already bagged here, it is interesting to look across the Atlantic and note how badly the Maktoums are doing with their Godolphin operaion in Europe, where they have chosen to shun many top trainers and go their own route.

Godolphin had their first winner of the season here in the U.K. on the 7th June with 'Librettist' after a string of dismal efforts they shut down the stable to check out the horses to see what the problem was, they seem to back on track and ready for Royal Ascot where they run 'Electrocutnionist' the winner of the World Cup in Dubai.

World Cup in Dubai.

With the amount of purse money they place on their races don't be suprised to one day (past our time?)see," Triple Crown races to be run in Dubai!". Especially after they buy out all the best horses from our country for breeding . :faint:

Hold on, let's not get too worked up...

The Dubai folks have proven to be good for the sport and serious about their committment. But for all of their efforts they haven't been able to capture the Derby. Sure they picked up the other two jewels this year but SOMEBODY had to win those races...
