Do you bet every race that says play? Or are you only betting races with asteriks? How do you structure your bets? Do you flat bet? Percentage of bank? Kelly?

What characteristics separates a prime play from all the others?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, I'm not putting any $ down on these plays(just yet).
"plays" indicate which play I would make.
* plays may be doing better than the other.

If and when I do start to play, it will be flat betting, and that may change as more data is explored.

If I can stay profitable for 500 plays, I'll be putting up some $$$.

3 wins in 6 plays, down $51, played $764

With 50% winners, lost 6.6%, a bit more than twice the vig.

You got rooked on the Balavista race. Horse was much the best, but General Fox came out and closed the hole he was coming through, carrying out him and the winner about 4 paths. Amazingly, the stewards disallowed the foul claim.

Interesting... I guess the way he was bearing out insistently despite a right-handed whip was a sign that all wasn't right with him.

Take a look at the replay. Whether or not the hole was big enough to begin with is debatable, but I don't see why that question is relevant to the fact that the horse didn't maintain his path, impeded whatever path WAS there, and carried out two horses with him.
