Are you serious? Rosecroft is still around? Man.. that was where I StartedAt18. They used to race 4 times a week and at one point it was 1 day per week. I thought it would be shut down by now. They were praying for slots but that's never going to happen.

Rosecroft is alive and well, and home to some of the best plays you get in harness racing. Everyone seems convinced the races are fixed, the drivers and trainers are all crooks, and there is no point in "handicapping" because it won't work there. And yet they keep pouring money through the windows.

So, while the rookies are beating their heads against the wall trying to cash $6 exacta tickets at The Meadowlands or Cal-Expo, the serious bettors are cleaning the pools with fairly modest wagers at Rosecroft and (don't tell anyone about this) the Quebec tracks, especially the hippo in Montreal. Seriously. If you want to make money betting on harness races, look into Rosecroft, the Hippodrome de Montreal, and Hazel Park. All three offer generous rewards for those willing to take a little time and effort to analyze the races.
Good Luck!

StartedAt18, do you now play Pompano? If so, have the locals figured out how to bet trifectas yet? When they first started trifectas there in the early 1980s, the greyhound bettors used to go slumming to clean the trifecta pools, because the horse bettors were all betting the short priced favorites, and the greyhound bettors were all wiring the favorite with longshots to place and show. If the trifecta paid $25-30, it was usually a harness fan. If it paid over $500 it was frequently a greyhound fan. Same thing goes on at a number of tracks today.
Good Luck!
