View Full Version : How Does Match-Up Betting Work

I went to Pinnacle's site, but nowhere did I find any explanation of their horseracing or matchup rules.
I assume it's just horse for horse. Where ever they end up that's the bet. If I bet horse A against B, and A finishes 7th and B 8th A wins the matchup?
Are there any other sites that offer matchup bets?
Thanks

72 views and no one knows how match-up betting works?
I assume it's horse against horse, and whoever finishes best--or does the horse have to win? Since I've never made a match-up bet, nor can I find any information about it on Pinnacle's site I thought I'd ask here.
Thanks,
Steve

Try doing a search using phrases like +matchup... I found this one old thread. There's probably more...

Emerald Downs has them as part of their parimutuel betting offerings. But the odds offered end up being simply terrible - nowhere close to what the player can find offshore.
