For its time, circa 1995, not that bad (in 1998 reprogrammed from DOS into Windows and named Focus 2000). Tried to apply Sartin principals and also had two proprietary power ratings. Hasn't moved forward since then. The first handicapping software I ever bought--was on the market even before most of the Bris free software--and I had fun using it. Used to have a small ad in the DRF every weekend.

The thing that always cracked me up was that the maximum races it allowed you to model was 15--making sure the sample size was small so at least some variables looked predictive. The hype of the 60% (or whatever) winners in the advertising was also funny. Some of the variables, like average speed rating of the last two races is bound to lead to some winners. I could never figure out its fps calculations when I tried to back them out.

IMHO no reason to look at it now. All that said, I still have fond memories of using the software.
