Race 1: MEDZENDEEKRON makes his 2nd career start here, and flashed early speed in that debut race on 5/3 on the HOL weeds. Draws the advantageous inside post going 1 1/16 miles on the HOL main. Pedroza may run and gun and never look back. Value. BIG MISTAKE gets a huge jockey switch to Valenzuela. Expect this one to be closer to the first flight this time around, and improvement is possible. KING PALM has had 8 chances so far and has hit the board 7 of 8 times, but no wins. Might win, but won't provide any value to win bettors. With a few horses capable of running career races, I'm banking that this one goes 0-for-9, but will protect in the Pick series wagers.

1-2-6

Race 2: A stakes-quality mile turfer of 7 competitive starters. The in-form horse is QUASIMODO, a winner of 3 straight, but with the quality of this field, 7/5 ML seems absurd. I see 2 here capable of jumping up and surprising. CLIPPERDOWN chased a slow pace in last and came on strong before weakening late. Could have some upswing on the horizon. EASTERN SAND is class, class and class for solid Jeff Mullins.

In order of preference: 7-1-3

Race 3:

EASTWOOD will be running and gunning tonight. If he gets to the 1/2 unscathed, it's over. GHOST TOWN MEETING fared within 8 fig points of the #7 (top last out fig), and appears on the upswing. Highly capable of sneaking away with the dough. BELL IRISH drops from 3up n2L to open 3YOs for a lower tag. Can go near or on the lead. Value.
