Move to a different state and devote your life to betting one track a day.

Not everyone's goal in life.

How old is this anyway? Lot of references to 2001.

Wow,

That article about the Hong Kong boys first appeared in wired in March 2002(http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/10.03/betting.html).

I believe the Tim Halley article was also from 2002.

Has anyone won big since then? ;)

You really don't have a clue here, do you?

Some of the people on this board are actually wagering millions profitably and you want to call them names?

I hope it's Ok to further discuss Weather R, as I don't have their permission to speak of them. However, when first my ears leaned towards Mysterious Traveller in 74 I knew that they were well beyond "fusion" of that day... Joe Z was always a stalwart leader and Wayne S on sporano has always pranced a delicate weave that is one of the best in the biz. In any event, if you know what I'm referring 2 - thanks for your ears.

If I've spoken of what I shouldn't simply delete the post.

I only yanked it from public view. Mr. Meadow is a member of this board. If you have his permission, or the permission of the copyright holder, just have him give the OK.

Just because I ask people to follow simple copyright guidelines (common sense usually suffices for most folks) doesn't mean I deserve wise ass remarks in return. Most people who write for a living don't like to see their works reproduced without their consent. Believe me, I know....I've been through this already more than once on this board with authors who have sent me threatening emails.

Thanks for your cooperation.

I must mention my idol, Dom Um Romao, the great percussionist, who must be in his eighties now. Very briefly with Sergio Mendes. In fact, very briefly with anybody, but his first recording on Muse Records is a classic.

Bigmack, ToeToe…

I love talking music especially… (Pastorius, Weather Report & Zawinul)…But, I’ll be pulling this way off topic.

Your original reason for posting Bigmack… to share an interesting article was very much appreciated. PA, obviously has rules that must be adhered to or this board would cease to exist…Copywrited material being very high on the list of no-no’s…

PS: Thanks for the CD offer BigMack…I have to admit I have a great in with the music industry and have the entire catalogue (that I’m aware of) of the aforementioned artists. Appreciate the offer just the same…Thanks.

You're entirely correct DanG.

PA, you were dead on with your assesment of my wise ass comments as you sail a pretty good vessel here and it was inappropriate to post C material. My apologies to you and to B. Meadow.

I make that 3/5.

DanG

Dave S.,

You enjoy mentioning ‘3/5…That must be the “sweet spot” in Reno.;)

PS: While this thread has gone all over the map I’d like to take it one more place before I move on…

A personal note to Dave Schwartz…

I happen to notice a while back you mention your dog of many years…”Butkus” I believe was the name.
You had an agonizing decision to put him down and ironically I faced the same decision at exactly the same time with the same breed. (Only she was 17 years old)…Very comforting reading your take on this personal matter while I was experiencing the same situation. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing that tough personal decision. I showed your message to my youngest child and she honestly took comfort in knowing we wern't alone making this call.

Now…I’m done imposing on this forums time…

BACK TO RACING!!!...

BTW:…Great card at Pimlico today…Enjoy!
