A Sad Day at Harrington

During the 1st race yesterday at Harrington there was a very very bad accident with horses down and drivers laying on the track. Driver Hal Belote was killed and two others (Steve Warrington and Brandon Givens) were taken to the hospital. It was reported later that Warrington has some very serious injuries to recover from. My prayers are with the Belote family they have been a long time fixture on the Delaware harness picture. Racing was cancelled for the day after the accident.

My condolences to the Belote family and friends. Also, best wishes for the speedy recovery of the other drivers.

These accidents are unfortunate reminders of the danger in the sport.
