Nice! Holy Bull is nominated to the Hall Of Fame. He only has to beat out Precisionist and Manila....should be a piece of cake. Holy Bull is/was the best 3yo this country has seen in 12 years.

Go Bull!

Cool poll PA! How do you do that? I tried the other day to do a poll with a post I was working on, but was having computer problems and don't know if I was even doing it right. Anyway, turns out my computer crashed and I lost what I was doing.

:(

I agree, though. I thought each of those horses were tremendous, and I enjoyed watching them, but Holy Bull is definitely the most accomplished of the group.

Observer,

I just checked the box at the bottom of the screen where you create your reply. (The box pertaining to the poll). Then, before I hit the Submit Reply button, I fill in the part where it asks how many poll choices you want (in my case, there were 3, Holy Bull, Manila, & Precisionist).

Once you hit the Submit Reply button, it will take you to the poll screen, where you can fill in the rest of the info.

I want to objecct to this poll. I was confused as to how to vote!
I wanted to vote for Manila but I voted for Holly Bull.
The ballot is too confusing. I demand a re-count!

I'm glad the the Hall of Fame voters took the "Bull by the horns" and did the right thing.

Wasn't Manila a top turf horse with the same running style as Mecke (one of my personal favorites)?

IMO, the best group of grass runners assembled in the past 30 years on this continent was the 1986 Breeders Cup Turf, a race won by Manila, despite rider Jose Santos losing his whip in the stretch. Those who voted for Holy Bull were likely not following racing in the mid 1980s.

Apparently 150 racing journalists and historians chose the inductees on 2001 when Holy Bull was voted in.. I guess they werent following racing in the mid 80s either..
