Enjoy Indiana quarterhorse action tonight for Indiana Downs final three races. These are Maiden and allowance races with purse level of $5000 for each running. Thorostats FREE race selection sheets can serve as your program with trainer info if you would like to follow along. I recommend standing at the rail when these powerful sprinters are charging down the stretch.
In race #9 the 5, DASH OF CHIVAS is piloted by top quarter jockey LOUIS A. STOKES (14%) and is trained by ALAN D. WHITE (7%) for owner JUDY M. HALL. Sharp connections will having him moving tonight. Beware of the #10 QUICKEST CASH with hot jockey MIKE SIMPSON (16%) up for the ROGER L. LEWIS owned and trained entry, Quickest Cash will be looking for top prize in this race. This is a mixed sex field of 3YO maidens who will all carry 123#s for 330 yds.
Race #10 features an evenly matched field with the strong entry of #1 DASHIN WITH SILK and #1A BAY BED AND BEYOND. Cindy Sanders trains the entry for Mr and Mrs Robert Tresner. They will be looking for competition from the Harold Bragg owned and trained #6 SPEED RISK ridden by the hustling jockey Louis A. Stokes. All runners will carry 125#s except for the 3YO gelding #1A BAY BED AND BEYOND who is allowed to go at 123#s. These non-winners will charge 330yds.
Race #11 is a very contentious field that will showcase the best quarterhorse handlers in Indiana and the midwest. A full field is set to contest this NW2 purse and top share could go to any one of these closely matched rushers. Carter Riley will be up on #9 LETS ROLL EASY for owner/trainer Randy Haffner. LETS ROLL EASY is the only Indiana bred in this field and we wish him the best tonight. 350 yds. of total accelleration and all will carry 125#s except the 3YO gelding #1 ANOTHER RUNNER VAL who bags the 2 pound age advantage at 123#s.
I hope all of you can stay for these exciting contests to "nightcap" the card this evening at Indiana Downs. Tomorrow night Indiana quarter rushers vie for a Stakes purse in the Blue River Derby providing a fine set of weekend races to help get the season really rolling for the Indiana stables of the worlds fastest horses.
I'll post a review for the! Blue River Derby soon, so please plan to join the fun!
