Are there any casinos in Reno or Vegas that have rebates or good comp programs that would lead one to wager there as opposed to Pinnacle with the 7% rebate.
I'm an RVr so I wouldn't be staying in the casino just wagering in the racebook.
Thanks in advance,
Dan :)

dandy dan;

i've not been there for a while, 2years.
they , casinos, always change and vegas has soo soo many ,that it's tough to keep up, unless you talk with some local horse players. give lucky, on this board, a shout.

but anyhow, the casinos off the strip are better for what you are looking for.
Rv parking, comps etc. Boulder station, new orleans and the gold coast have good parking and sports(horses) books.
comps for best value will come about, after someone recognizes you, but most will comps the drinks. as the above do, always.

Comps come and go and they are usually not much, especially for horseplayers. I agree with the advice to check out the off-strip casinos. The Paris is getting raves but I have not been there. I like the Gold Coast and Boulder Station for ambience but comps? I don't know. I understand that Laughlin casinos are generous with their comps and their room rates are like half of Vegas rates.

Most casinos now use player cards that track your play. Comps are based on dollars wagered.

Horse players ususally are granted free rooms & food based on daily play of $1000.00 or more.

It's a function of how much you bet. The Coast hotels in LV (Orleans, Suncoast, Gold Coast, etc.) at least publish their points earned/comps policy which is more than most do and the points will accumulate to one account regardless of which of their racebook(s) you play at.

At the Reno Hilton (by the airport) if you arrange to have your play "tracked" (see the racebook supervisor) you can earn meals and get casino rates for rooms. I hit a P6 there one time and got comped to a suite for the weekend, but I think that was mostly done to keep me (and my money) there while I was in town!
