One horse with a short explanation as to why you think the horse is a possibility.

Showingup- An excelent mile followed up by a very poor win in the Lexington. A possible reversion of that last race could make this a possibility.

that would be the one, longshot that is.

all of the energy distribution parameters are correct, will need a good trip and the last race would of had to have been an exception rather than the rule. This one is a Sartin "tandem" with Sweetnorthernsaint.

Storm Treasure

Seems like he has one run, push button type. Could find a hole if it melts down.may be sitting on a new top. David Flores I like.........for this particular horse.

Raise A Native bloodline. Consistently closes the 1/4 mile under 25 seconds and a speed duel up front.

KEYED ENTRY

Ya Got P.Val
Ya Got Pletcher
Ya Got the Wood Post Time favorite (weakened third)
Ya Got 30-1 Morning Line

And best of all, you have a powerful HDM Speed/Pace Figure

Of course you have to have a knock to be 30-1. It is he can't get the Derby distance off is weakened sloppy Wood.

Check out our Worksheet for the Derby by clicking on the link below.

Jazil - Closed great in the Wood, last 3/8 in about 37-. So much speed, might run past all the tired ones late. Would prefer an outside post rather than rail. Had planned for mud when I picked it, the Wood being in the slop.

Funny Bull.

His Fountain of Youth race puts him in the mix. He may have an excuse for last race or he may be tired and slow. At 50-1 I may have a few dollars on him

Not sure what qualifies as a longshot, so I'll say A.P. Warrior or if you mean a REAL bomb than Flashy Bull -- although I do like the name Funny Bull a lot better. Reminds me of one of my favorite horses, Holy Cide.

Flashy has decent late figs two back and McLaughlin can pull off a near miracle with a dog like Closing Argument, why not Flashy?

....]Plus you have him regressing off his career best in two starts and he looked excellent galloping. After the Oaks today I am a little concerned about the speed duel death scenario, but he was 44-1 when I last checked.

Bluegrass Cat - throwing out his Blue Grass (ironically) leaves me with a talented, improving colt who should find himself in good position throughout the race.

Okay, anyone can pick a horse that's entered in the race like Flashy Bull...it takes true handicapping skills to pick a horse that's not even entered (Funny Bull). Must be age. I was telling my wife "Fuzzy Bull"

So, apparently, I also have my tri bet!

Let me be the first to say: Private Vow. Just hope bridgmohan oversleeps or gets stuck in traffic so we get a last minute jockey change to Laparuix or Castellano or anybody else really.

Bluegrass Cat - has been training like a horse on fire all week - toss the funky Blue Grass Stakes and you could be looking at a double-digit payoff with one of my favorite riders, Ramon Dominguez.

Good luck!

Throw out his races on the slop and you have one heck of a nice Beyer progression.

#10 - A. P. Warrior 15-1 Son of AP Indy came back from the dead to upset Point Determined in the San Felipe-G2 two races back in his first start for new trainer John Sherriffs. Sherriff's likes to save something for the big "dance". Rider Corey Nakatani is also looking for his first Derby win.

Thorostats figures has Keyed Entry rated second behind Barbaro in the full field. Keyed Entry has the highest avg speed ratings for the last 3 races and at 30-1 ML he is my longshot selection today. Speed to stay?? Maybe not today - but do you dare leave him out?

Pletcher will eventually win one of these derby dances!

not enough seasoning to buck the trend of only 5 starts

I think this horse has a good shot,May be low on the beyers but this guy did have a troubled trip in the FD while checking on the first turn to avoid clipping heels of the leaders, I look for this guy to use hs speed and run with the leaders and pull away at the end..Longshot yes!!

Private Vow-(WIN) best last 2 race imperovement, back class.
Steppenwolfer- (PLACED)several people think the distamce helps, 2 post is great to save ground.
I like the trifects in the Ar Derby of these and Lawyer Ron (SHOW) form this trifecta also. For the superfecta I will add to these Sweetnorthernsaint (4th).
Redboarding- just caught Trickey Trevor (won) and Smart N Pretty (show)!!
