Has anyone been able listen to the dailt broadcasts of the seminars from Siros for Saraoga fromDRF website?
I cannot get anything except telephone error messags coming out my REal Player from thier link. And I am not on a phone line.
Also, they mention archives in the test screens, but I can't find any link to them. I would contact DRF customer service, but as anyone who has ever tried this knows, DRF has no customer service.

Tom:

Listened to the Siro's seminar yesterday and today with no problem. Unfortunately the guests were no too helpful with two can't lose picks running pretty badly.

Haven't found the replay show yet.

Steve Crist used his column in Simulcast Weekly this week to air what amounts to a full-page ad for the Siro's Seminars. Lets see: I pay $4 a week for the Simulcast Weekly and often enjoy the handicapping nuggets in the column and he devotes the space to an advertisement for the DRF and himself.
I guess as editor he can do what he wants, but to me that's a slap in the face to the readers.

hehe ... how right you are when you say DRF has ZERO
customer service .... it's pathetic the way their telly system
keeps shuffling you around ... it's just a waste of a good
company being neglectfull I guess.

And I'd like to slap him back!

Another thing I hate is that I pay for the privelege of reading the articles on line, but have to be distracted by blinking ads for Indian cigarette stores up and down the sides off the page - very annoying, but then I expect nothing less from DRF.
Noticed lately they seem to be having more and more writting s by Crist...must the good writers are on vacation.

I did listen to one show on My computer from Siro's. I bought the saratoga preview for 4 bucks from DRF and saw it advertised in there... First of all.. The Saratoga Preview was three articles with 20 pages of last years results... and that I can get for free many places on the web... so I thought I got had. It was wrapped in plastic like a porn Magazine.. and I figured OK .. Must have some good stuff in it.. But I realized after.. it was wrapped in plastic because if you were allowed to flip through it You would NEVER BUY IT... I threw it on the lunch table at work.. 15 minutes after I blew 4 bucks on it... Just was Glad I did'nt blow 8 by buying the Del-Mar preview right beside it. anyway back to the show at SIRO's... I don;t need some person telling what a TOTE Board tells me...

"I like the 5.. coming back on 30 days Blah blah blah.... Horse is morning line 5-2... I already know the horse deserves a look... The tote board tells me that.. do I need to drive to Siro's to get what amounts to someone elses "Selections"

When I see "handicapping seminar" advertised at Siros'... I want to hear about Handicapping strategies... Not someone telling me who to play... Save that for the public... I would think if someone is at Saratoga..and is interested enough to drive by Siros's.. they'd be at least a Fair Horse player... and not asking for "TELL ME WHO TO BET".... You break the race down.. speed class. distance...and throw in some information they may have access to that I don't and the "Seminar" may have Value to me.. But I don't need somneone to tell me... They "Like the 2" when the two has a Morning line of 2-1...silly

If you don't like the DRF and it's associates there is one solution that they will pay attention too.

DON'T BUY IT!!!!

Money they will understand.

I really like the DRF... its was just the Saratoga Preview I was disapointed in and the "Seminar" AKA "my selections".... I buy the DRF four times a week wether I am going to the track or not... I like the DRF..

I liek DRf becasue the Beyres are available and the data export is handy. I like the Players Guides and bought both. Two years ago, I had to beg them to get a copy, and neverr did. All they did was tell me what great customer service they had and I could never get to anyone who knew how to actually sell one. Dat-wise, I like the product, expecially the Winners Book (even though they said they were going to print Beyer pars for every track and that turned out to mean some tracks). But as far as customer service, they stink, they have always stunk, and they will always stink until they hire some new people and dump the bumps and lumps they have now. I liked to listen to the Siros replays becaseu they often gvae me some info or data that I didn't know, and would never think to look up. I never played their selections, but sitting at home at night, working on my database, the replays were fun and informative. Guess that is why they don't want to make it availabe anyomore.
