Picks for Gulfstream Sunday:
R1 #4 Little Paper Boat-Had a bit of trouble in his first try against mcl last time out. Still loomed a threat until tiring in the stretch. Has 2 drills since and drops again.
R2 #6 Another Sunset-Earned some competitive figs in his last 2 tries on the turf, both efforts chasing an fast pace. Low percentage barn will help price here.
R3 #8 Crafty Chip-Has a noteworthy drill for new barn. Makes the drop to mcl and should be part of the early mix here.
R4 #4 Ghosttrapper-Has excuses for his last 2 poor efforts. Earned a competitive fig in his maiden win and has been drilling regularly for this.
R5 #2 The Legal Limit-Had a troubled start in his first start in mcl and off the layoff. Drops and gets a jock upgrade for this.
R6 #1 Remarkable-Had a bit of trouble last out and couldn’t make up ground in some fast late fractions. Drops again and should be a decent price.
R7 #2 Disco’s Son-Has been drilling regularly for his comeback. Ran well as a FTS so he may fire first off the layup
R8 #5 Storm City Blues-Battled gamely on an honest pace last out before giving way to a perfect tripper. Might be tough here if able to clear early.
R9 #7 Wrigley-Never got a breather in his first effort for the mighty Pletcher barn. Looks very tough in this spot and will probably be very well supported
