What the heck am I missing? Some are saying Iran is 10 years from a bomb, and they been working on it for years, they are either a bunch of dummies or they are ready to go. We started from scratch and was able in a short time deliver two on Japan, not only that they've had assistance from Russia, Korea and Packistan, that have nuclear weapons. Who's kidding who?

When Bush landed on that carrier in front of the Mission Accompished Banner I sent an email to the White House saying the first thing that should be built was Baghdad Downs. Still waiting :(

At Tehran Downs, the stewards don't hand out suspensions. They just be-head the riders.

Well, what I opened up with in this thread, was just validated by an expert on nuclear bombs, one as crude as what we dropped on Japan could be in the reach of Iran sooner than later. At this point sitting on our fanny and doing nothing is inviting a desaster beyond belief.

Not only is it close at hand for Iran, their ability to sell a device is an even greater threat. Thinking that we can TALK them out of this is just plain stupid.

BB, there are those that don't want to believe that anyone could have the goal of world domination. The sad part of this discussion is that his plan is already in motion and many, even in the US, don't see it.

What scares me the most is....Rumsfeld. He will not fight a real war, and he will go in undermanned and this time it could be a horredous outcome.
The guy is not rhght for real life wars - his level iis Risk.
I can't support any action with him and Bush calling the shots.

I just dug this up. Something to think about.

Building the Atomic Bomb

http://www.lanl.gov/history/atomicbomb/images/science_maniac.jpg On July 16, 1945, an implosion bomb was successfully tested near Alamogordo, New Mexico. The production of this bomb, and its gun-type counterpart, ushered in the atomic age. The development of these weapons represented the culmination of more than three years of intense research and development effort. At Los Alamos, science and technology combined to produce a weapon of incredible power; enough even to end the most destructive war in history.

Now, either I'm crazy or I'm dead on. We built the bomb in three years from scratch, common sense tells me Iran is about to or already has one or more. The technology has been around sense 1945. The only thing they haven't done is openly test one.

The Russians, North Korea, China and that nuclear scientist from Pakistan have been assisting Iran in nuclear technology and equipment for many years. The latest estimation on them getting one is 5 years, one would have to be a dam fool to believe that.

Twin...The intellectuals aren't the problem here. It's the leaders like Condy and Rumsfeld who won't listen to them.

This Thesis gets to the heart of the Iranian nuclear issue. It also lays out a strategy for dealing with it, before it's to late.

I didn't get that far but I would assume we have to make every thing right that we did wrong over the last 50 years and start nogociating with those killers or look to others like Russia, China, France, Germany or UN. Those freaking radical Mullas hate every thing we stand for and they will do anything to wipe us off the face of the earth. Like I said before you can't reason with mad dogs. They will shake your hand with a plan to stab you in the back or cut your head off. That's the shit I smell and it reeks all over the world, Puckin of Russia is another good example. If he thinks pacifying Iran will work and we aren't fighting WW3 he's sick in the head.

To say, Iran feels the need to have nuclear weapons for security because Saddam used chemical weapons on them, while they support and participate in every terrorist group in the middle east is down right stupid.

That was the tone of what he was saying from what I read, so I stopped reading. Let me know if I'm wrong?
